We have a second generation Chevy dealer (where I bought my 2011 Silverado since it was the nearest dealer and was family owned) in the nearest town; senior opened it in 1965 and had long since turned it over to Jr. Things hadn't changed much till 2011 when the Govt. had control of GM and they started closing dealerships. All of a sudden he remodels his building, puts in paved parking, covers over his models on display for customer shopping comfort and protection from the elements, especially hail, opens a paint and body shop, installs an OK Used Car lot, comes up with rental cars, loaners, and shuttle service.........apparently that's the only thing that kept him from being one of GM's dealer closures.
