Take a minute and remove a few bolts and lift the worm gear box’s cover off. One of the pin(s) that engage in the wormgear will be busted off and jamming the gears .
I should know . Replaced the two moderately worn originals and replaced with new pins . Busted both of the misorable little cusses in less than two hours of operation .
