C711339 is the serial number for a late 83 model, but the E6NN block casting is for a 86 or later engine.

Open the right side hood panel where one accesses the battery, look for a foil tag on the underside of the panel that has a series of numbers, it will have the serial number that should match the on on the trans as well as the model number and production dates.
Also look for 2 more sets of numbers behind the starter where you found the serial number.

After 4-85 they changed to hydrostatic steering using a orbital motor controlling a hydraulic steering cylinder with no mechanical linkage.
The later hydrostatic steering is more desirable for loader operations.
