The gen light on my 4010 24v system does not come on when the switch is turned on. I moved the connector housing and the lamp to the oil pressure light side and turn the switch on and the pigtail harness with the connector housing and lamp work. Why do I not get the gen light to turn on when it is connected to the correct place on the instrument panel. I check all the wires and they all look good. Can it be the voltage regulator? Is there a point connection that is made inside the voltage regulator that is engaged which turns the gen light on until the generator produces voltage and then the contact point for the gen light opens and turns the gen light off.
