Since i am new to the supers, what kind of fluid do i put in the transmission and rear end.
I assume the resr end is the same as a ford 4000, as it holds the fluid for the hydraulics. I have been reading article after article on the fordson forums. It sems some people use hydraulic fluid to fill the rear end, and others use 15-40 engine oil. Same goes for the transmission. Several post say 90 weight oil and several say 15-40 engine oil.
I am trying not to screw up, right off the bat ... lol
What do yall suggest.
Also how would i tell the difference between a power major a1960-63 (50hp) and a new performance super major 1963-64 (55hp) ?
Is the ford 5000 decal really the only way to tell the difference ? Some articles i read said the ford 5000 decals wers only put on 1963-64.
I am a newbie, so please dont shoot ... lol
Thanks for all yalls information. I would be lost without these forums.
