Auto Zone in town is stuff you hang on the car mirror, the fellas know what a windshield wiper is and that�s about it.
Napa used to be an excellent farm supply store, it the kids got younger and now it�s ok if you already know what you need, and can look over what they bring you carefully. One day I ordered 2 bearings, got home and he had 2 different, and neither one was exactly right...... they have good tools and stuff tho, and mean well. But the old parts guys are gone.
OReilleys is similar to Auto Zone, nice folk but they know car interiors, they could get farm items but they just don�t know much t is a hassle.
Auto Value is the farm place left in town, they have a machine shop in back, and a fella dedicated to hoses and alternators and starters who knows his stuff. I walked in with an old fuel pump off a Wisconsin engine in a bucket a few years ago, the fella looked in the bucket and said oh I�m sorry.... well I knew it was a long shot but I had to go somewhere to try to track something down.... he continues, I just sold the one in stock this morning, we are getting another in by 10:00 tomorrow I hope that ok? Heck they stock one? And he didn�t have to look at any numbers he knew what I had?
But, -any- of those stores could supply the same stuff. They could all,access the same catalogs and wholesale parts. It comes down to the people behind the counter. So it will depend who management hires, and what market they try to supply.
