I give flu shots, been a nurse for 40 years. I hope people get a little sick, sniffles, achy (mild of course). It is your body defending itself against the antigens injected. The antigen DOES NOT REPLICATE and your body makes antibodies to fight off the invader. It then remembers the antigen and has a memory to reproduce the antibodies quickly. If the virus antigen that DOES replicate gets in your immune response is quick and removes the virus before it can replicate enough to knock you down. If you had the flu and lost several days, feverish and chills, unable to sit up, it probably was the flu. It could be a digestive issue. The flu is a respiratory then complete body issue. Zinniman
