You might consider trying to get yourself more steady on your feet rather than eating a running chainsaw. I found that I, at 69, was getting a little unstable, and then I found out about balancing on one foot. You do 30 seconds on each foot twice a day. That has made me get better instead of deteriorating. I also do squats every morning so that I can push back up from squatting when I need to, and I do shoulder exercises daily, and lower back exercises 2X/week.
