Casecollector, I agree. Local folks need help too. Unfortunately most local folks won't take help from local youth groups. Maybe a pride thing? But if those same kids are from ND or PA, then they will let them rebuild a porch or paint the house or fix up a kitchen. It drives me crazy. It also helps the kids grow up some being away from home. But our group is going to Haiti and why not help them out by spending a day on tractors?! My 2 boys will not be going on the mission trip,costs too much! I went to the Dominican republic when I was 15. Spent 2 weeks helping build a church. Great experience. Sure was an eye opener!
