the fuel pump has to be done right. I would suggest you get a manual to show you how to take it off so you can either send it/deliver it to some one to complellty rebuild it. then the manual will show you how to prime it when you put it back on. previous owner had the fuel pump rebuilt on my h4. 700 bucks. like I said you need to make sure its a place with a good guarantee and reputation. most important part of the diesel fuel system. g I remember years ago a fellow thought he knew enough to work on a fuel pump. when he installed it back on and started it it it went wide open and blew a big hole in the motor so please make sure you take it to someone who specializes in them.
