Here's another, we had a border collie/Australian Sheppard dog. It never showed any signs of agression toward anyone, except for snakes and rabbits. But my daughter brought her new man over and that dog immediately got in front of him and wouldn't let him in the house. Never before or since had she done anything like it. Turned out he was hitting my daughter. How she do knew nobody knows, he had never seen or been near the dog before. That dog is gone 5 years now and one of the few pets I miss.
