Has anyone seen what's in the deal with Mexico yet? That agreement came together very fast and was a surprise to many people. It might be the same smoke and mirrors as our hasty deal with North Korea. Hopefully not, but we haven't seen the details yet.
I suspect it was high corn prices that pushed out most of the small dairies in Central Minnesota. Many realized they could make more money by selling their corn instead of feeding it to dairy cows or by cash renting their land. All the labor hours to operate those small diaries would have been for less than nothing. Larger 1000 plus cow dairies have enough economy of scale to still make a profit, how much profit, I've never heard.
