I commented on the perception of farmers by city slickers from my cross country train trip last year. They are convinced we are poisoning them and they hate us with a passion. I was also convinced that rational discussion on the subject was not possible and was a complete waste of time. I could say a lot more about this, but it would just get me banned. All I will say is don't waste your time trying to convince them you are the good guys. Just make your money for yourself and your family and forget about the perception of farmers by city slickers. Don't waste your time on noble sentiments like "we produce the cheapest and safest food on the planet" either. It's falling on deaf ears and the only ones listening (or believing it)is us.
