I'll betcha these same words were spoken in the neighborhood 65 years ago when one of the neighbors bought a new MD or better yet a new MDTA. I can hear the words now; "yabut, that Two speed shift on the go transmission will cost more to repair and the engine is so complicated he won't be able to repair it himself". Another neighbor buys a new Deere 70 diesel. Once again "yabut, it's economical but you have to start that little engine first. Just wait till that little enge gets some hours on it and needs repair".
Today's tractors are much more complicated and trouble prone than the old ones but the dialect about them hasn't changed.
