Depending on where you are at you can buy drop in units for the rearend if it is what is actually bad. Most rearends will out last the truck if kept filled with oil and changed occasionally. I changed the oil in my semi rearends every 250,000 miles used a synthetic since it would keep the consistency in cold weather better than regular oil. They now have over a million miles on them. Neither one has been done anything to except the front was resealed in the gaskets under warranty once. That is the split between the Power divider and differential gear unit.
