I was also a fan of the luffly Lennon Sisters- they first got me interested in barbershop quartet singing (the quartet in The Music Man was also a factor).
I think my grandmother claimed to have been Larry Hooper's 3rd grade Sunday school teacher in Lebanon, Missouri. I later found out the dates don't match up- she had left Lebanon years before he was born. But she may have said she taught Larry's father, which would have been possible. I guess we'll never know.
