Leroy, again today I used my all-time favorite tractor. It is my Farmall H. A couple of days ago I used it for side-delivery raking of hay. It is a smooth running, gas-sipping tractor for raking. Today I used it to rake scatterings with a McCormick Deering dump rake. I think you can probably relate to the "art" of using a dump rake to make a windrow. Wow, it is quite something to make a windrow with a dump rake! I think I got pretty good at it by the end. It was a feeling of accomplishment that just doesn't come with a side-delivery rake. Were the scatterings worth the gas used? Absolutely not! But the feeling of getting the hang of using the old dump rake was a hoot. Hope this brings a good memory or two to you. kelly

One of us would sit on the left fender (away from the clutch) and other would sit on the gas tank and hold onto the crankcase breather pipe.
