Recently bought a comfort king from the classifieds and the guy said I had to adjust the PTO clutch before I used it. When I start the tractor the PTO turns (not full speed) and the lever has no resistance at all. After reading the service manual about 20 time me and my old man tried to adjust the clutch through the inspection port on the right rear side of the tractor. We adjusted it about 6 or 7 full spins on clutch and we went counterclockwise. There is still no resistance in the hand lever and no snap at all. My question is will you eventually run out of adjustment trying to tighten the clutch and where should I go from this point????
