If you use a hose that much to water cattle and in the same place everyday, why not bury a water line and put a hydrant closer to where it is needed. Cost of those carts will go a long way to pay for it. You could probably get it done for under $2 a foot or closer to a $1 a foot.
I have a neighbor that waters his 80 pairs everyday in the same place. And has for my whole life.
The tank is about 200 yards from the hydrant. He loads water and hauls in a 1000 gal tank.
I have never figured out why he doesn't bury a water line that 200 yards and put a hydrant and float and valve on the tank.
We have water lines buried 1/2 mile back into the pastures with hydrants at every lot to avoid hauling. They have been there since 1970.
