That should have read: Only Center Housing & Right side Axle Housing is attached at this point. Getting ready to install Rt axle/hub assembly/components & install Differential & move on to left side housing, etc . I've heard Mixed info about being at this stage of the game. Some have said use NO shims on rt side during initial assembly, install Differential & left housing and shim left assembly. Others have said use 1 shim between the axle housing & backing plates on both sides no matter what during assembly and 1-2 shims between the bearing carrier and backing plates to start. Is the shim between the backing plate and housing usually a good idea? i've taken 3 of these axle assemblies apart and some have had them and some did'nt. Dealership said sometimes they're not required :?: Long story short- I'm trying to do it right & get them close as possible the first time.  Thanks
