If the battery is still in in and has a charge...
Of the two large wires on the reg, one will measure same as at the battery...
or read zero ohms between the batter connector and the "B" terminal on the regulator as that wire runs between the B terminal and the "hot" battery terminal.
The other bigger wire will come from the armature of the generator to the A terminal... or measure zero ohms between the two locations.
The smaller field wire.... will run from the field lug on the generator to the regular Field and measure zero or near zero between the two locations.
The "HOT" post is the battery cable is is NOT grounded to the chassis. usually its the positive post on a 12 volts..
