I have that very seat on one of my tractors. It does sit a little higher, but not high enough you have to bend over to reach the steering wheel. The secret is in the adjustment of the knob for height/weight adjustment. You want it just tight enough where the seat bounces, but not bottom out. When it hits that bumper on the bottom it sends a shot up your spine. You'll have to fool with that knob until you get it just right.
Why not get your back fixed? I know the doctors don't like doing back surgeries until it's almost too late, but they are the ones not suffering with the pain.
