It comes down to markets. I've seen on some craigs list Allis Gs Farmall Cub and the like for pennies on the dollar. And other places they'll dang near bring their weight in gold. Different makes/models sold better in different parts of the country/world. The two things that will make or break any new tractor company. Especialy one that caters to a niche market is figuring out which areas are not saturated with similar used machines. The other thing is if you "copy" an existing design you will always be compared to the design you "copied". Any thing short of an exact replica will not be good enough in the eyes of many. DO YOUR OWN THING.
Personaly I think the G Allis was too specialized to catch. Small farms acreages tend to be one tractor farms. As such they need something that can do everything. These new compact utility tractors leave something to be desired but, they do what needs to be done ok.
As I have think about it now. I would rather see a Farmall Cub or A or even an Allis B. Brought back to manufacture. A small simple tractor. Could put a small loader on it if needed. Cat 1 3pt. 20-30 hp diesel GEAR DRIVE trans probably 3×3 or 4×3 gears. 2wd standard but 4×4 optional. Simple off the shelf components.
