The engine oil filter for that machine should be an AH1111RT.It should use an M96T packing.I believe the numbers have been changed,but if I walk into the dealers parts counter and ask for those numbers they hand me the right ones.Most important is to make sure you get the metal washer off the end of the filter and put it on the new one.They will glue themselves so tight to the old paper filters you will just assume it is part of it.If you don't use the washer the spring will chew it's way into the paper,and send pieces all through your engine.It's hard to believe JD dealers don't have them in stock,and the parts guys don't have those numbers memorized.Then again,it has been a while since I worked at one.I left there the week they introduced the 2940 to replace the 2840.
