I worked at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for twenty eight years. The mining engineering department had a framed picture on the wall of the Big Muskie. There was a picture of a smaller machine on the wall too. One or the other worked for the Sahara Coal company when the picture was taken. They fazed out the mining department a few years after I started work there. I sure hope they didn't throw that picture in the trash.
