have never bought michelins but and have had only 1 car come with them installed which i currently have with about 48000 on them. so far so good and they'll probably get thru next winter ok. they are VERY hard/harsh riding sport tires so i'm not impressed with ride.
i've had good luck with Yokohamas and Goodyears. better luck lately with goodyears BUT. i do NOT buy the cheap junky GY tires. assurance comfortreds only. they do well in the snow and have held up well even on my old worn out cars.
jeep came with firestone destination LE2 tires. had good traction and were quite and rode well but didn't last very long. about 50000 with rotations.
