DDG's are a protein feed supplement byproduct of all ethanol production plants. US exports in 2017 of DDG's amounted to about 1.88 billion dollars returned to the US ag economy from foreign countries. There are about 3.2 million farmers in the US. If one fourth of American farmers produce corn then about 800,000 thousand US farmers could go bankrupt trying to raise $ 2.00 corn. Not to mention the effect that would have on the rest of the rural economy. That is way below the cost of producing a bushel of corn in 2018.
