I went to go into town one day and when I got to the end of my drive on a highway a sheriffs deputy had a guy pulled over (pickup, small trailer and a yard tractor). I knew the cop so I just stayed there. When he got done he stopped to visit for a few. He'd got the guy for speeding but saw that the garden tractor wasn't tied down and told the driver that he couldn't go anyplace until it was. Guy got mouthy with the cop who then wrote him up for and unsecured load. Bad part was the guy had tiedowns. Had just been too lazy to use em. Had he just said OK officer and put em on he would have only had the speeding ticket to pay.
