I am considering going to a skid steer for moving and lifting chores. Since the stroke I'm not very steady on my feet, and it's almost impossible to climb up on the backhoe (steps keep getting farther from the ground, and apart). Plus it doesn't get into some places I need to since MY lifting capacity is pretty much gone. I'm looking at the JCB because you get in from the side instead of having to climb over the bucket. It is not for every day hard use digging and so on, and I've already been warned about the one arm boom although it seem built well. I'd like only people who have actual experience (hopefully at least 100 hours) in one to reply, I've heard all the hearsay already.
