I have an old Troy with a Tecumseh I bought used a few years ago. It looks like it sat under a tree it's whole life but it does run and it does a good job. The only work I've done on it is replace the belts and put a new needle and seat and fuel mixture needle in the carb. The engine smokes a little and rattles quite a bit, in fact the rattle is darned near as loud as the exhaust but I'm going to run it till it dies, whenever that happens and then replace the engine.
