Famer, it was 1968. I was 20 years old and spent an entire year there building new houses for the good people. I saw things I would have thought were staged. A wooden grain mill was the only thing left standing but ALL its sheet metal was gone. Cars in trees and at a Standard station, there was a 2X4 that went thru the tread of a tire on display in one of those outdoor racks; Atlas, I think it was. I got sunburnt so bad that about ten years ago, the skin cancer started . Believe it when they say things you do when you're young will come back and get you when you're old. Every year I go to the Doc to get more either 'froze' off or cut off.
