At the Le Sueur swap meet, I looked at a pair of used 9.5 X 32" tires. The seller wanted $100 each. One had a cut about an inch long on the inside and the outside showed the cut to be larger. One was a Coop and the other a Goodyear. Two years ago, I walked up to a vendor, just as someone bought a used pair for $150 each. They looked to have been in very good shape. So if you have the time, you may find a used pair. You just need to be the first person when a good pair goes on sale. SDE
