: : : I will have to agree, the 856 has to be the best of the more modern tractors ever made.... I would have to say that the best tractor of all time has to be the farmall H.. : : : : : : : : : : : : Could the IH 806 be the worlds greatest tractor. : It does a good job at what I use it for and the money I paid for it. I sure like it. : : : : : : Could I be the world's greatest person? : : : : : Bought Mine new in 66 still have it on my loader with 15000 hrs. Had clutch and TA work done but no tranny or diff. work ever. THEY ARE THE BEST : : : : I have a 806 but the 856 that I have is FAR BETTER than the 806!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : : I think beauty is in the eye ( or barn ) of the beholder. have to agree that the 856 is the best over the 806 IH found out with the first series the little things that could be improved and added them all to the 856 line. the M and H line was the best new intro ever made as far as the 4020 of john deere a high hour 4020 thats braged about by the john boys would be a short timer in the 856 ranks i know of 806s and 856s with 10,000 to 15,000 hours running at 90% or more of new power and the 4020 or any other deere that has limped to 5,000 hours is an exception and 8,000 hours is unheard of where its a norm in the 06 and 56 line
