Thanks for the suggestions, I will check them out. I received a quote from one place for a 23hp Vanguard. I was told it's a great engine, but a little more than I was looking to pay (approx $2300).
A B&S Vanguard is not going to install with out lots of machine work and then the hoods not going to fit without major mods
Find a Kohler K series engine the best engine is a K321 14hp its simple just bolt the hogshead to the engine put the clutch in place install the engine and the tractor is ready for years of service
Forget the Honda's B&S Vanguards Kohler Command's unless you have lots of money for major modifications and machine work
