We called them Farmhands or Buckrakes. Lookup Farmhand F10. Farmhand or other brand hay loaders mounted on reversed truck chassis for handling hay fast on those big western prairie fields. Both of these pictures have grappel forks it looks like. Back in the day we had a hay sweep head and could pick small squares 2 or 3 tie up at a fast clip 12 or more at a whack and bring them to the stack or truck usually in 3rd gear. We had a Farmhand F10 that started out on a Farmall H then onto a Massey 44 and last onto a Farmall Super MD. The feller I worked for in 64' had his on a reversed GMC 1.5 ton truck chassis with a straight six, 4sp with 2spd axle.
