Should be the same as any IH 86 series and older pto. the lever in the cab turns the pto on and off both pto shafts turn at the same time. most of the time a no run problem is a broke pin in the pto valve. follow the rod from the lever in back of the cab down to the pto unit. there is a plug under the rod on the bottom of the pto unit. use a socket to take it out. then unscrew the block on top of the valve and push everything out the bottom. there is a pin a little smaller than a pencil lead that breaks and holds the two pieces of the valve together put in a new pin and put everything back in then have someone come and set the pressure. I drove a 3588 for an uncle 30 years ago but i did mostly tillage work. i dont remember a dash button.
