So the loan "wasn't a bailout"! I remember the "Bailout" er ah taxpayer loan Chrysler got what back in the 80's. I think I recall Iacocca repaying that with the K cars successes. I have a 2011 Silverado and bank with Ally (ex GMAC), both very successful remnants of the govt.- er ah taxpayer bailout which they repaid and one of the requirements was that GM reduce the number of types/names of vehicles produced.....and Chrysler got a helping hand again.
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the significance of other models of vehicles besides the sedan especially if you have a growing family and do any kind of outdoor activities, or do any shopping at big box stores and need to get your purchases home and on and on.
When I was working, I tore up a left knee getting in and out of a Ford Tarus "sedan". Haven't had one since and good riddance.
