That county is darned lucky to have anyone that will build in that place. I cannot understand why you cannot build a steel building. Steel buildings can be designed to be architecturally pleasing if that is important to them. Steel is far more economical and is exactly what you need. They must figure you are a rich guy from down south and they can make you do whatever they want. I built my steel shop in San Mateo county with no permit right under the noses of the planning commission.
