Well, the Cub was built to do small-scale cultivating, mowing, and similar chores, with simple controls and minimal required maintenance. The fact that thousands of them are still doing just that on a daily basis 70+ years after the first ones were made should be a good indication they were well designed and built. I would say there's some wiggle room in the asking price, but it's not terribly out of line if it's in decent mechanical shape with good tires, and parts and service items are still easy to come by. You'll find they're a handy little tractor, and you'll almost certainly find other uses for it beyond cultvating.
