Phillip d, the difference on a 75 and 85 is the engine. The 75 uses a 3 cylinder and the 85 has a 4 cylinder. You will want to stay away from the 5075 and smaller models with the 3 cylinder. I've had a 5045E and 5075E at my farm using them last year for a demo. Light jobs they were alright. The least little bit of a load and the 3 cylinders will drink fuel bad. A buddy of mine is a salesman at our local dealer that I got the demo tractors from. He said they had seen a fair amount of the E series with the left hand reversers come back once they got a few hours on them. The guts in the controller for the reverser are failing pretty quick. The E series are the cheapest of the models made now I believe. If you could go up to the M series I think you would get a little nicer tractor. I think the M you can get a platform tractor instead of straddling the transmission. That might get into problems with your height you are trying to stay under though.

As far as I was aware a fordson was a fordson and it was only through trial an
