Take a look at the TRANSMISSION CASE COVER, GEAR SHIFT, AND TOOL BOX diagram below.
Note the overdrive shifter handle (Key 5).
The overdrive shifter handle was installed on all Model 70 tractors.
Reviewed the OPERATOR'S MANUAL OM-R2033R JOHN DEERE TRACTOR MODEL 70 SERIES under the CONTROLS AND INSTRUMENTS section under the GEAR SHIFT LEVERS topic on page 12.
