I find it interesting that when then NSA was gathering and analyzing phone numbers to connect to known terrorist phones, the you know what hit the fan. When the corporate world gathers data and sells it, there seems to be little concern. Think about H&R Block and TurboTax for biggies. When the government collects data, strict protocols are in place. Corporate business collects and uses our personal data without oversight, no one gets excited. In the case of Facebook, the object of the data gathering is to basically perform a psychoanalysis of an individual and give feedback to alter a person's attitudes. With Cambridge Anylical, the objective was to influence the election in Trumps favor. I think I may know someone who received such feedback.
