I did shares on mine, but felt I was getting the short end of the stick when my brother cut corn for silage. He would cut his 2/3rds from the good side of the field, combine my share...went to cash rent, less stress. He got the 'family' rate of $55 an acre. The land value has doubled since we settled on that rate, time for an increase!
