There are several big farms around me that will be able to weather just about anything. They grew steadily over multiply generations. They seem to be conservative when the profit margins are good and then expand when nobody is making money. I can make some money with a small operation because of high value crops that require a large amount of labor. These kind of small operations like mine are a very small fraction of the total amount of food produced in this country. The big outfits will produce the bulk of the products and keep getting bigger and more efficient if they are managed right.
