On that subject the organic poultry producers over in the Shenandoah Valley (a Repub,conservative strong hold BTW) just bought a $900,000 slaughter facility they have around 30 growers in VA and WV and growing while the conventional growers are shrinking.Anyway when You buy a package of chicken there is a code on the package that ID's the farm the chicken was raised on and you can go to their website and see pictures of the operation and how the chickens are raised.I heard there are plans for a live cam at some farms.This is what sells these days as many consumers want to know where and under what conditions their food is raised and they are willing to pay a premium for it.
