the first car I bought on my own was a 66 Pontiac 2+2 with four on the floor; or so I thought. when taking it for a test drive I remember saying to the salesman I could not find fourth gear. no matter I bought it anyway cause I loved the big beast. once I got it home I discovered it was three on the floor. it never occurred to me it was NOT a four speed. talk about an embarrassed farm boy.
