You can pull the heads! Without pulling the intake. Can have a head off in 15 min if you have impact tools. Just take exhaust manifold loose from head. Then take head bolts out loosen Intake bolts. Pry intake up about 1/4. Just enough to get head over dowl pin. I squirt a little silicon under intake going back. Oh drain water first.
