I can imagine the source of the graph or the site it was posted on. Whoever published it failed to finish up his class on statistics. To be the least bit valid, the axis of the graph have to be titled/labelled as to what the numbers indicate or refer to. The vertical axis on this graph .... what does it mean? Homicides per 100,000 population, maybe guns owned per household, or bullets carried in an average semi- automatic gun magazine? Or, by simply dubbing in a new title, it could have originally been average number of books per year purchased by college students in the last 100+ years. I officially proclaim this graph as being Fake News !!!
