What's lacking is good parenting plain and simple plus media coverage, violent video games and thug music that kids are allowed to have at home which goes back to parenting. There is no way a school can guarantee safety unless you want to turn them into prisons. Quit blaming schools that are doing all they know to do and put the blame on the foundation of the problem, proper parenting! Teachers have enough on their hands without having them packing guns. Some teachers simply could not respond properly in that situation. One has to have a certain personality to pull a trigger. This is coming from a Vietnam combat vet that saw some trained soldiers freeze up in a firefight. What we have in this country is weak parents that don't teach respect for others to their kids!
