My granddad farmed with mules. He was old school. The first tractor on the place was when my uncle's bought a 1946 DC3 case tractor. Everyone wanted to know why they bought such big tractor. I have the DC3 now along with my uncle's 4020 standard, JD 1520, JD 40 and Cat D8 2U. The Cat was purchased in spring of 1973 used.
My dad bought a JD 830 new and I have that tractor also.
I'm also in the process of setting up my uncle's 00 Frick sawmill. It's not a old tractor but it is a family treasure just ask my wife. Lol
